What I found most fascinating was how the cities Duncan and Bella visited were so unreal, yet extremely identifiable. London reminded me of London, Paris recalled a dream of Paris, Lisbon was Moorish without ‘being’ Moorish. I truly believe this film will stand the test of time to become a true classic within 25 years time! While I’ll be in my ninth decade of life, perhaps I shall see it come to pass.

The comic book version is an interesting contrast. No Mandarin. Tony takes Extremis to save his life, and his suit becomes part of his body.

Basically the studio said "Do a sequel" the director said "Only if I can do ANYTHING I want" after this there were lots of cameos and references but nothing new till HBO did the cartoon series.

The only thing missing is a Gremlins 3 that perfectly balances the comedy of the 2nd with the horror/suspence of the first, that also just gets bigger and more ridiculous in keeping w the trajectory

This has been my observation often G, PG, PG-13, R was very different in the 80s vs today.

The people who have done test screening of the movie have said that it actually has a serious tone to it with comedic relief throughout it which they heavily used for the trailer. Im certainly excited for it feel like its gonna be the transformers "spiderverse" do i think itll be as good as spiderverse? Im not putting money down on that but i think people are gonna sleep on it and end up being pleasantly surprised by it. With ILM doing the animation I'm sure if anything its going to be a great visual experience

from what i remeber the deaths were cause they were killing off those toys irl and wanted to replace them with the new models its why megatron was given the new bod and such from what I remember cause the old transformers was just a 30 min toy commercial back in the day along with others of its age like gijoe and heman so when they want to change a look to a toy they normly need to kill off that old one to make new ones I myself loved watching transformers growing up my fave was the beast wars/beasties witch was a early CGI cartoon and had some jank in the early eps but had some really great eps

I wish the younger generations could just enjoy something without trying to look for some kind of political or racial issue. I actually enjoyed the reaction and probably should’ve stopped once the movie ended. People actively looking for that kind of thing, for whatever reason, is a big part of the problems of today. Just enjoy the movie for what it is.

If you liked the sound track catch the transformers the movie cover band called Cybertronic Spree. They play the sound track and other 80’s songs like barracuda in transformers cosplay. I catch them every year at dragoncon.

This is the best Marvel Christmas movie imo, Ironman has always been my favourite since I was a kid and the 72 armours showing up in that final battle was like a fever dream. Also, what Tony did for Harley in the end was so sweet. He probably covered his whole academic future expenses as well. ~The Mechanic~
